The Mid North Coast Joint Organisation includes Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, Bellingen Shire Council and Kempsey Shire Council with the purpose of strengthening regional collaboration to work more closely with the NSW Government to deliver important projects on a regional scale.
The Mid North Coast Joint Organisation (MNCJO) was formed following the 9 May 2018 proclamation by the NSW Governor of eleven (11) joint organisations across regional NSW. The inaugural meeting of the MNCJO was held in Kempsey on 13 June 2018, paving the way for how these Councils will work together with the NSW Government on priority projects in this region.

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN | MNCJO Community Leadership & Resilience Network Project Grant Funding

Background: The Mid North Coast Joint Organisation of Councils (MNCJO) comprises the local areas of Bellingen, Kempsey and Port Macquarie Hastings Councils.  It was formed in 2018 and is focused on: Strategic planning and priority setting; Inter-governmental collaboration; Regional leadership and advocacy; and Building a more efficient and effective model of business operations for Member Councils. In 2020, the MNCJO applied for funding from Local Government NSW under the ‘Increasing Resilience to Climate Change Program’ to establish a ‘Resilience Partnership’.  This application was successful.
